Hallo!

I am so obsessed with Honkai Star Rail and it's getting to be a problem. Well, not a problem. If I have the time I might as well enjoy myself.

Today I went out with my dad and went to a driving range and hit golf balls and it was so awesome because I hadn't been to that driving range in YEARS and because I got to spend time with my dad. It was just so wonderful. Sometimes my dad can get on my nerves or make me really angry, but I still love him. Not because he's my dad, but because he's a person I really love.

I think it's important not to love your family just because they're your family or because they raised you. That's gonna lead to resentment because you feel like you're trapped in a situation you really don't want to be in. I love my dad because he's really funny and we have a good time together. I always get him gatorade when I'm out because he started asking so much I just assumed he wanted it. He also tries to eat all his meals with me. Whenever he gets hungry he comes up and asks if I'm hungry. It's really nice.

I think one thing is also that it's hard for us because I live at a boarding school across the country half the time. He's busy and i'm busy and he puts a lot of emphasis on my grades which can be admittedly difficult when I've already put emphasis on my own grades. Life hard out here. I feel like sometimes I'll never match up to his standards, but he's gotten better at showing me that I'm not just some product of himself that he raised to be better than him. I'm a kid who has their own life and can decide things for themself.

Please remember that no matter where you come from or who you are surrounded with that you get to choose what you do in your life. You have autonomy even if it comes with disapproval. Other's opinions only matter as much as you want them to. Which, I know is really hard to shut out, but the better you get at it, the more free and independent you become. I myself am not very good at it all, but I'm learning what my own opinion is.
